Why Focus on Children’s Nutrition?

Nutrition plays a pivotal role in a child’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive. Poor nutrition early in life can lead to lifelong health issues and hinder a child’s potential. The first 1000 days, from pregnancy to age two, are critical for building a healthy body and brain. But the preschool and school-age years are equally important, as they lay the foundation for future health, education, and productivity.

Our mission is to combat malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies by making nutritious food accessible to children in the most underserved areas.

Our Impact: Reaching 25,000 Children Across 3 States

Since our inception, we’ve made tremendous strides in improving children’s nutrition across RajasthanUttar Pradesh, and Punjab. We are currently serving 25,000 children, providing them with nutritious, biofortified snacks like millet-based biscuits and nutrition bars, packed with essential micronutrients to help them grow stronger and healthier.

The Power of Biofortification

Why millet? Millet is a powerhouse of nutrition. It is rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are often missing from the regular diet of children in rural areas. By providing children with biofortified millet-based products, we are not just offering a snack, but a powerful tool to tackle anemiazinc deficiency and other malnutrition-related health issues.

Reaching the Heart of Rural Communities

We are deeply embedded in the local communities. Our program reaches children where they need it the most—Anganwadis and government schools. These institutions are where children come for daily learning and nutrition. By partnering with government agencieslocal community leaders, and school authorities, we ensure that our products are distributed efficiently and safely to children, improving their nutrition and overall health.

Empowering Women, Empowering Communities

In addition to improving children’s health, our program creates livelihood opportunities for women. By involving women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in processing, packaging, and distributing the millet products, we not only improve the economic situation of rural households but also empower women as key drivers of change in their communities.

A Holistic Approach to Health and Nutrition

At Joywing Foundation, we don’t just distribute food—we aim to educate. Along with distributing nutritious products, we provide nutrition education to children, parents, and teachers. This education helps raise awareness about the importance of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle choices.

Through this combined approach, we educate, nourish, and empower, creating long-term sustainable change for both children and the community.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

The journey doesn’t end here. We are committed to expanding our reach, touching the lives of 100,000 children over the next few years, and driving lasting changes in their health and nutrition. With your support, we can create a Nutrition Secure Bharat, where every child grows strong, healthy, and ready to reach their full potential.

Join us in making a difference. Together, we can transform children’s futures, one bite at a time.
